Η σπηλιά Son Doong στο Βιετνάμ είναι η μεγαλύτερη σπηλιά στο κόσμο. Έχει βάθος 5,5 μίλια, έχει μέσα έναν ποταμό και μία ζούγκλα και θα μπορούσε να χωρέσει έναν ουρανοξύστη 40 ορόφων.

Παρ΄ολ’ αυτά κανείς δεν ήξερε την ύπαρξή της μέχρι πριν 7 περίπου χρόνια.

At more than 200m high, 150m wide and 5km long, could fit a 40-story skyscraper within its walls. Son Doong cave is so big it has its own river, jungle and climate. It can comfortably fit a Boeing 747. It’s not easy and there are challenges all the time, but when you get out there, when you go remote, it’s obvious this is a very, very unique place and well worth fighting for #sondoong #sondoongcave #oxalis #vietnamtravel #adventure

Possibly the greatest cave exploration in the world. . Hang Sơn Đoòng, also known as Sơn Đoòng cave — which roughly translates to Mountain River Cave — is the world’s largest cave. At more than 200m high, 150m wide and 5km long, the Hang Son Doong cave in Vietnam is so big it has its own river, jungle and climate. . It is located near the Vietnam-Laos border, in a section of the Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003. .
